Samuel is an Ohio based artist, writer, and fantasy curator. He works both digitally and traditionally, with mastery of programs such as Clip Studio, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and traditional mediums such as watercolor, ink, pencil, marker, etc. He has four years of formal art training, including two years in the art program at East Tennessee State University. Additionally, he's been a selling artist at multiple anime/comic conventions and has 10 years of experience as a freelance/commission illustrator.

In addition to several years of self-disciplined experience, Samuel has experience in self-publishing as well as team collaboration. In January 2020, he self-published a 30-page auto-biographical zine titled Born Again: Depression, Homelessness, and Finding My Identity. In March of the same year, he partnered with a team of Hollywood professionals for one week to create a 2-minute animated short film for The Creator's Society's annual Animation Jam. Samuel was the concept artist and one of two storyboard and animation artists for the film, titled Word Of Mouth. The film won the award for Most Creative and won 3rd place overall.

The artist is most in his element when working within the themes of death, afterlife, the supernatural, fantasy, trauma, Queer issues, and coming of age. He is most prominently influenced by artists such as Jon Foster, Bryan Lee O'Malley, Inio Asano, Junji Ito, and Christy Lijewski. Notable literary inspirations include Ray Bradbury, A. Lee Martinez, Daniel Handler, and James Dashner.

Currently, Samuel lives in Akron, Ohio with his two dogs and is writing and illustrating the all-Queer ghost hunter fantasy webcomic,
